My name is Gerard O’Connor and it’s an honour to currently serve as the 10th President of Ógra. I’m from Waterford and currently work as an economist in the energy sector in Dublin.
My priority for Ógra is activity, activity, activity. There has never been a more exciting time for a young person to get involved in politics and I’d encourage anyone interested to join the party that makes the difference.
I’ve been a member of Ógra since signing up at a recruitment stand in UCC in 2018 and continued my involved in UL, Waterford and Dublin. I joined Fianna Fáil because I believe we are a party that cares for the most vulnerable in our society, cares for developing our economy and cares about the peaceful reunification of Ireland.
