Meet Jack

Jack Chambers is the  Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation. He is a TD for Dublin West. He was previously Minister for Finance, Government Chief Whip and was also Minister of State at the Department of Transport and the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. He was elected to Dáil Éireann on his first attempt in the February 2016 General Election and was re-elected in the 2020 General Election. Before entering the Dáil, he served as a Fingal County Councillor and as Deputy Mayor for the region. He previously served as Fianna Fáil frontbench spokesperson for Defence and for Communications, Climate Action and Environment as well as spokesperson on the National Drugs Strategy. Born in Galway, Jack moved to Dublin West at a young age and is actively involved with a range of local community groups and sports organisations. He is a Medical Doctor having studied Medicine at the RCSI and he holds an honours degree in Law & Political Science from Trinity College.
