Kildare based Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has called on her Government colleagues to fast track the publication of the Action Plan for the Disability Capacity Review to be fast tracked.
Senator O’Loughlin said, “Today I raised the urgent need for the Government to publish the Action Plan for the Disability Capacity Review, in time for the budgetary plan for 2023.”
“The Disability Capacity Review to 2032 was published by the Department of Health in July 2021, and it detailed the current outstanding need for HSE funded disability services, as well as medium term forecast to 2032.”
“A key aspect of this was the publication of the Action Plan for the Disability Capacity Review which was due to be completed by December 2021
Fiona concluded “I have written to Minister Rabbitte and asked that this be prioritised. We need to ensure that we are planning for the future of our disability services and that this action plan is available in time for budget 2023.”
