Senator Lisa Chambers Welcomes Commitment from Finance Minister to Deliver Galway City Ring Road Project

Senator Lisa Chambers, Fianna Fáil European Election candidate for the Midlands-Northwest, has welcomed a commitment from Minister for Finance Michael McGrath to deliver the Galway City Ring Road project. Senator Chambers said she was delighted the commitment from Minister McGrath for this vital project, which will deal with Galway’s traffic issues and promote investment into the city.
 
Minister McGrath made the comments at a business lunch in Galway City, which he attended with Senator Chambers, to discuss the Government’s strategic vision for the region and the upcoming budget. 

 

Businesses from across the region engaged in a productive dialogue with the Minister and Senator Chambers, sharing their perspectives on the operational challenges they face, from elevated costs to regulatory changes. A primary topic was the need for sustained investment in Galway to ensure the city's growth aligns with the Government's ambition for a vibrant economic hub in the west.

 

The event was a pivotal moment for business leaders to gain insight into national economic plans that will shape the future of Galway.
