O’ Brien welcomes securing of school site for St Joseph’s Secondary School & Gaelscoil Ros Éo

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Housing, Planning and Local Government, Darragh O’Brien, has said that the securing of a school site for St Joseph’s Secondary School and Gaelscoil Ros Éo in Rush, Co Dublin has been welcomed widely in the community.

Deputy O’Brien said: “I very much welcome this news and look forward to the new school buildings for both schools. A lot of hard work has gone into securing this site for the community and I would like to thank all those involved. This is great news for the community of Rush and will benefit future generations of children and families in the area.

“The community has waited a long time for this news and what we need to do now is push these projects forward as a priority for both schools. Both Principals, the students, and the Boards of Management are to be commended for their work in helping to secure this site and they are eager now to see new school building take shape.

“I will work alongside my colleague, Cllr. Brian Dennehy, and together we will help both schools to continue our campaign to have the school site brought forward to building stage,” concluded Deputy O’Brien.
