Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin South West, John Lahart, has said it's a privilege to be appointed as Party spokesperson on social enterprise.
Following his appointment, Deputy Lahart said, "Fianna Fáil in Government remains committed to supporting social enterprises in our communities whose primary focus is to improve the lives of others by making a social, economic, societal, or environmental impact.
"As a Board member of PARTAS, a community-based social enterprise in Tallaght, I've seen first-hand how social enterprise can build an inclusive and thriving community by fostering entrepreneurship, creating improved opportunities for sustainable employment and encouraging inclusivity.
"My colleagues and I in Fianna Fáil believe in a sustainable and inclusive future for everyone. I look forward to meeting the key stakeholders over the coming weeks to learn more about the work they do as well as identify the key challenges and how best we can address those challenges and support disadvantaged and marginalised groups and the issues they face.''
