Michael Moynihan TD

Michael has been a tireless advocate for Cork North West since he was first elected to the Dáil and continues to campaign for better services in rural towns and communities, such as the rollout of high-speed broadband and recreation facilities.

Michael is the Chairperson of the Disability Matters Committee and is passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities. He has worked closely with families and service providers for the last 20 years on these issues, and Michael is working to keep these matters to the forefront of Government policy across all Departments.

Michael continues to operate his family farm, and has a clear understanding of the issues facing our agricultural sector – like all farmers, he loves working and farming the land, but farmers need to make a living from their work and must get a fair price for their product.

Since he was first elected, Michael has maintained a full-time constituency office in Kanturk. This office provides comprehensive advice and support to his constituents, 5 days a week with no appointment necessary.

Michael has always strived to be available to his constituents as much as possible, and through his busy office he works to help people in any way he can.
