Aindrias Moynihan TD

Aindrias has been a TD for Cork North West since the 2016 general election and a local Councillor before then since 2003.  Aindrias comes from a family steeped in public service over generations including War of Independence hero grandfather Jamie Moynihan. Married to Lisa with 4 children, Aindrias understands first hand the challenges facing young families and the importance of creating a vibrant community that can provide a first class education, affordable childcare and jobs and homes for people locally. Gaelgóir ó dhuchas as ceantair Múscraí agus ana shuim aige i ngach atá Gaelach, tír is teanga. A native Irish speaker, Aindrias is passionate about promoting our Irish identity.  Educated locally and qualified as an Engineer as well as in Marketing & Management from both CIT and UCC, he has gained experience across a range of disciplines. Living locally Aindrias is very much aware of and supports local businesses and the revitalisation of rural communities.  Aindrias believes the roll out of highspeed broadband and new technologies are key to making this happen. This will help start up small businesses and increase investment in tourism and agricultural industries in rural Ireland.  Aindrias is a dog and nature lover and is Cork to the core!
